The kit includes everything you need for a proper cup of chai at home: a Masala Chai blend, Madhur Jaggery for sweetening, a fine-mesh strainer, and a limited-edition Kulhad made with East Fork Pottery in Rococo Pink. Think of it as a complete chai spice kit that takes you from pot to cup without hunting for extra tools. The Kulhad holds about 8 oz, which is just right for one generous serving.

Most recipes lean on cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper, simmered with black tea, milk, and a sweetener. Every household tweaks the ratio, so some cups taste bright and floral while others finish warm and peppery. Our partner farms across South Asia grow many of these masala chai spices as heirloom, single-origin crops, so each one arrives fresh and fragrant.

Simmer 1 cup of water with about 1 teaspoon of your chai spice blend for 2 to 3 minutes, then add 1 cup of milk and bring it to a gentle boil. Stir in jaggery to taste, let it bubble once more, and pour it through a fine-mesh strainer into your cup. If your blend doesn't include tea leaves, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of loose black tea along with the spices.

Yes, it's one of the easier gifts to get right. A chai gift set works for longtime chai drinkers and the chai-curious alike because it lets them start brewing the same day. Our Chai Essentials kit comes with a Masala Chai blend, Madhur Jaggery, a strainer, and a handmade Kulhad, so there's nothing extra to buy. As a limited-edition collaboration with East Fork Pottery, it feels special for birthdays, housewarmings, or the holidays.

Yes. The Kulhad is made from fully glazed, 100% lead-free stoneware, and it's safe for both the dishwasher and the microwave. That makes this chai tea set easy to use every day, whether you're reheating a cup or making a golden milk latte. Treat it like your favorite mug, since any pottery can chip if it's knocked around.
